PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the occurrence of communication failure known as a bottleneck. PSOLUTION: A distributed server system 10 comprises a database server 20 for retaining and managing data, and a plurality of processing servers 40 for executing processing according to the data managed in the database server. The data processing servers each comprise a data acquisition request part 44 for requesting the acquisition of data retained and managed in the database server, a data retention part 42 for retaining the acquired data, and a change content notification part 45 for notifying the contents of a change in the data retained in the data retention part to the database server. The database server comprises a data update part 23 for, upon the change content notification, updating the retained and managed data according to the change contents, and a data update notification part 25 for notifying the data update to each data processing server.
