PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To present a list of two kinds of summaries whose characteristics are different to a user. PSOLUTION: A retrieval part 22 retrieves a relevant document according to keywords included in a question sentence as a retrieval request in a question sentence format, and extracts descriptions relevant to the corresponding keywords included in the retrieved document as a first summary, and acquires a document retrieval result including the list of the first summary. A summary extracting part 232 extracts the descriptions equivalent to answers suitable for the question type of the question sentence decided by a question type deciding part 231 as the second summary from text data constituting each document shown by the document retrieval result among text data constituting each document to be retrieved stored in a text database 201, and acquires the list of the second summary. An interface part 21 makes the display screen of the display means being the retrieval request origin display the document retrieval result including the list of the first summary and the list of the second summary.
