PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for generating performance data with high reproducibility from a score (music data). ;SOLUTION: In a score with a symbol 'D.C.' indicating to return to the beginning of the score, smaller size notes are placed at the end of the 2nd measure in addition to the notes of a normal size. When performance data are generated from the score firstly a unit event data is generated indicating to produce musical sound expressed by the notes by targeting only on the normal size notes concerning the notes existing within the range specified by the symbol 'D.C.'. Secondly, an unit event data is generated by targeting the normal size notes are targeted on in the first measure, and targeting only on the smaller size notes in the second measure. In such a manner, the performance data are generated reflecting the performance operation indicated by the symbol 'D.C.'.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
