PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of efficiently recovering Au in a method for recovering the Au from an Au-cyan containing aqueous solution and also an apparatus for realizing such a method. PSOLUTION: In the method for recovering the Au from an aqueous raw material solution containing the Au and the cyan, the method for recovering the Au from the cyan-containing aqueous solution includes a first membrane separating process of separating the aqueous raw material solution to a concentrates liquid (a1) and a permeated liquid (b1) by using a reverse osmosis membrane and a first electrolysis process of recovering the Au by electrolyzing the concentrated liquid (a1).
