PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a novel crystalline form of hydroxy gallium phthalocyanin with reduced unevenness in electrophotographic sensitivity by subjecting the conventional hydroxy gallium phthalocyanin having high unevenness in the photosensitivity caused by the difference in reaction conditions and a following treatment after the reaction, and to obtain a photoelectric photoreceptor having an extremely high photosensitivity to high wave length light beams, a process cartridge and an electrophotographic apparatus.;SOLUTION: The hydroxy gallium phthalocyanin does not have a peak at 26.2° Bragg angle (2θ±0.2°) but has peaks at the angles of 7.4°, 9.8°, 12.4°, 12.9°, 16.2°, 18.4°, 23.9°, 25.0°, 25.9° and 28.1° in the CuKα-characteristic X-ray diffraction and the half width value of 0.1°≤W≤0.4°. This invention further relates to a method the producing the hydroxy gallium phthalocyanin, the electrophotographic photoreceptor using the same, the process cartridge and the electrophotographic apparatus.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
