PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dot processing method, an image output method, a program for allowing a computer to execute the dot processing method or the image output method, a computer-readable information recording medium for recording the program, and an image output system for applying dot processing to image data so that a density change in a multi-value dot image outputted from an image output apparatus whose density change is uneven with respect to a change in the gradation value of pixels becomes a desired density change. PSOLUTION: Respective second gradation values as to a plurality of prescribed pixels of the multi-value dot images whose density is closest to a desired density as to first gradation values are obtained from a plurality of the multi-value dot images comprising dots whose second gradation values are changed as to at least a plurality of prescribed pixels among pixels in a prescribed region in the order of the first gradation values and obtained from an output of the image output apparatus, a threshold value of dot reference data with respect to a plurality of the prescribed pixels is determined on the basis of the obtained second gradation values to obtain the dot reference data used for the dot processing.
