PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily change a standard value for a postal bar code print quality examination without requiring any component exchange or special equipment.;SOLUTION: When the postal bar code print quality examination machine is powered on and a prepared bar code for standard value change is read, a CPU 6 stores the image data of the read bar code for standard value change in an image RAM 59, recognizes bar code information from these image data, stores it in a RAM 58, recognizes a change item number in the stored bar code information, reloads and changes the standard value of the confirmed change item number stored in a flash ROM 57 into new standard value of the said bar code information.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
