PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a welding method which is used for steel for high temperature fireproof building construction having excellent refractoriness in temperatures of ≤800°C.;SOLUTION: In the submerged arc welding method for steel for fireproof building construction, wire and flux in which the total content of each component contained in either or both of the wire and flux and exclusive of the ones present as oxides and fluorides in the flux satisfies, by mass, 0.01 to 0.11% C, 0.5 to 1.75% Si, 0.3 to 5.3% Mn, 0.006 to 1.3% Ni, 0.01 to 2.4% Cr, 0.2 to 2.0% Mo, 0.001 to 0.3% V, 0.007 to 0.5% Nb and 0.003 to 7.0% Al are combinedly used.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
