PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To compute a lod by means of a simply-structured device.;SOLUTION: A texture buffer 3 stores texture data filtered in accordance with each of different reduction ratios. A texture mapping device 1 (lod computing device 101) computes a lod (level of detail) representing a reduction ratio of a polygonal pixel, however, computing carried out in this process includes no division.
