PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hard twist two-folded yarn, using hard twist yarn composed of unstretchable material without using stretchable material such as polyurethane, free from occurrence of torque regardless of hard twist yarn composed of unstretchable material, free from occurrence of skew of fabric when knitted and woven and capable of providing fabric having stretchability and provide a method for producing the hard twist yarn.;SOLUTION: This hard twist two-folded yarn having stretchability balances torque of right and left hard twist yarns while doubling and additionally twisting hard twist yarn composed of unstretchable material and having same twist counts in right and left by a yarn twister and has stretchability by relax treatment. This method for producing the hard twist two ply yarn having stretchability comprises forming such hard twist two ply yarn as to balance torque of hard twist yarns in right and left while doubling and additionally twisting the hard twist yarn composed of unstretchable material and having same twist counts in right and left by the yarn twister and carrying out relax treatment of the hard twist two-folded yarn in a state of yarn or carrying out relax treatment of the yarn after weaving or knitting to impart stretchability to the yarn and the fabric and give yarn and fabric free from twist.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
