PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make extremely thin a part that functions as an elastic element part while maintaining a bending part to be relatively thick in a flamingo type by first bending an optical fiber in a hook shape and then making it extremely fine, and hence utilizing the difference in the wet-type chemical etching rate due to a shape. ;SOLUTION: An optical fiber 1 consists of a core part 2 for propagating light and a clad part 3 with a different refractive index. In an optical probe, a tip part 4 of a part that functions as its elastic element is bent in a hook shape and is machined relatively thinly for a support part 5. The diameter of the hook-shaped bent part out of the tip part 4 of a thinly machined elastic element part is relatively thicker as compared with the diameter of the elastic element part.
