PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an AV data displaying/reproducing apparatus which can be easily used without inconvenience in such a manner that a user sends a signal by wireless from an infrared remote control via an AV data receiving apparatus. PSOLUTION: An AV data transmitter 2 comprises: a first communication means which transmits AV data to a first external device 3, and at the same time, receives control commands transmitted from the device 3; a control command judgment means which determines whether the received control commands are sent to itself or to a second external device 1; a control command converter means, as a result of the determination, if the received control commands are determined as a signal sent to the second external device 1, which converts the received control commands into control commands capable of being understood by the second external device 1; and a second communication means which transmits the converted control commands to the second external device 1.
