PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for separating foreign matters form a laver-mixted liquid containing raw layer in high efficiency, capable of being miniaturized and lightened, to provide a device for removing the foreign matters from the raw laver, and to provide a method for removing the foreign matters from the raw laver by the use of the device. ;SOLUTION: A separation drum 1 is disposed in the storage tank T2 of a separation device D1 in a state capable of being rotated with a motor, and fixed circumferential wall members 12 and movable circumferential wall members 13 are alternately attached between the end plates of the separation drum 1. The movable circumferential wall members 13 can be rotated, and slits 100 are formed between the movable circumferential wall members 13 and the fixed circumferential wall members 12. The slits 100 can be expanded in a reverse flow passage of washing water by the use of a rotation device. A fixed shaft pipe 2 is penetratedly disposed in the separation drum 1, and flow passages F1, F2 constituting a flow passage of the laver mixture liquid are arranged on the inner and outer sides of the fixed shaft pipe 2. A seal device 4 constituting the reverse flow passage of the washing water to form flow passages f₂, f₃ is disposed on the inner and outer sides of the fixed shaft pipe 2. The seal device 4 is provided with press members 41, 44 for nipping and pressing the fixed circumferential wall members 12 and movable circumferential wall members 13 of the separation drum 1.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
