PURPOSE: To obtain a propylene-α-olefin random copolymer which has not only excellent flexibility, impact resistance, and clarity but also a good heat sealability. ;CONSTITUTION: The copolymer contains 2.5-30wt.% ethylene or 4-20C α-olefin units and has such physical properties that the half-width value, A (°C), of the main endothermic peak obtd. with a differential scanning calorimeter(DSC) satisfies the relation: 3.15B+7.4≤A≤4.0B+21.0; the main dissolution peak. Tf (°C), obtd. with a cross-fractionation chromatograph(CFC) satisfies the relation: Tf≤115-4.17B; the half-width value, σ(°C), of the main dissolution peak. Tf, satisfies the relation: σ≥1.7B+5.0; and the amt. of dissolution, Wf (wt.%), at 7°C or lower in the CFC measurement satisfies the relation: Wf≤9.75B-13.8 [in those relations, B is the α-olefin content (wt.%)].;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
