PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the paper money collection processor which eliminates the need for the intervention of an operator during processing. SOLUTION: After a small rest detecting means 214 confirms that there are remaining bundles of paper money left in bill storage parts 204 to 206 by a sufficient quantity which is large enough for bundling, the stored paper money is paid off by bundle units and bundled by a bundling part 108, so bills left after the bundling process are always less than the number of a bundle unit, so the collection efficiency is improved and the funds can efficeintly be utilized. Further, only bundling units are sent to the bundling part, so it is never necessary to take a fractional number of bills out of the bundling part, and the operator's intervention is unnecessary.
