PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for evaluating the radial vibrations of a rotor capable of evaluating the NRRO vibration components of the radial vibrations of the rotor in a production line in real time without performing a large number of computations. SOLUTION: The vibration components in the x- and y-directions of the radial vibrations of a rotating shaft 106 obtained by measurements from the x- and y-directions are converted into frequency sample values Xk, Yk, k=0, 1,...N-1} by discrete Fourier transform.
