PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device to decompose a hazardous organic compound to a harmless compound without discharging the hazardous compound to the environment in the disposal process.;SOLUTION: In the disposal method for making the hazardous organic substance to the harmless compound in gas phase, the hazardous organic compound 7 is decomposed and made harmless by reacting it in gas phase with a mist 9 or a vapor of a molten salt 12 comprising an alkali metal hydroxide, carbonate or nitrate.
