PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control system capable of properly correcting a data for calculating the spill valve opening time of the next cylinder even when pulse crack is generated a plurality of times. SOLUTION: After detecting a spill time set signal A, an estimated time esh of the appearance of a spill just-after signal is calculated. Thereafter, the time obtained by adding the estimated time esh to the spill valve opening time t2 is taken as the scheduled time of the appearance of the spill just-after signal, and the times to the pulse signals appearing before and after the scheduled time, or the time from the previous pulse signal to the scheduled time and the time from the scheduled time to this pulse signal are calculated. The pulse signal close to the scheduled time is taken as the spill just-after signal. According to the above processing, even if pulse crack is generated a plurality of times, the spill just-after signal can be detected, and the time interval from the spill time set signal A to the spill just-after signal and the time interval from the spill just-after signal to the following spill just-after signal can be calculated.
