PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure minimum power assist even when a sensor of an input system fails, and to move a conveying device to a place where the conveying device is not obstructive. PSOLUTION: When a failure in a sensor is detected (S3), failure information is stored in an external storage unit (S4), and an error is displayed (S5). In case of a failure mode in which the operation can be continued (S6), the input of the failed sensor is regarded as the input of the normal sensor (S7), and the present steering wheel operating force and the vehicle speed are operated based on the input (S8). The traveling assist power is reduced by a predetermined ratio of the output from the result of the operation, and the assist power is gradually reduced (S9). The traveling assist power is continuously provided before the conveyance is completed (S10).
