PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide martensitic stainless steel which is applied for parts simultaneously requiring strength and corrosion resistance such as an impellers and shafts for boiler feed pumps or knives, and to provide its production method.;SOLUTION: The martensitic stainless steel has a composition containing, by weight, ≤0.06 % carbon, ≤2.5% silicon, ≤2.5% manganese, 1.0 to 6.0% nickel, 10.0 to 19.0% chromium, 0.5 to 6.0% tungsten, ≤3.5% molybdenum, ≤0.8% niobium, ≤0.8% vanadium, ≤3.0% copper and 0.04 to 0.25% nitrogen, and the balance iron with inevitable impurities.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
