Fusion reactor remote maintenance equipment and method of moving equipment

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the replacement work of apparatuses in a limited space. SOLUTION: In a Tokamak-type nuclear fusion reactor, for moving a diverter 102 in the circumferential direction of torus, a diverter-moving apparatus is mounted to the tip of a manipulator 113. The diverter-moving apparatus is provided with a balance arm 1 mounted rotation-freely to two shafts which intersect the tip of the manipulator 113 at right angles, a frame 3 of the width, half that of the diverter or thinner, that is rotation freely mounted to the other end of the balance arm 1, support plates 7a-7d capable of sliding in lateral directions with respect to the frame 3, links 11a-11d with their base end parts each rotation-freely supported by the support plates 7a-7d and their tip parts in pairs rotation-freely connected to each other, hooks 12a and 12b rockably mounted to the connection parts of the pair of links and hooked at side pins of the diverter, and a positioning pin protruded from the lower end of the frame 3 and inserted in a hole provided for a floor surface of the reactor.
