PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preventing escape of a getaway car, an escape prevention management system for use with an escape prevention system, and a vehicle escape prevention device.;SOLUTION: A policeman on a police car 1 inputs the numbers on the license plate of a getaway car 4 to a communication device mounted in the police car 1. The communication device sends the numbers on the license plate of the getaway car 4 via a communication network 2 to the escape prevention management center 3. On receiving the numbers on the license plate of the getaway car 4, the escape prevention management center 3 specifies according to the numbers a communication device mounted in the getaway car 4 and sends a command to lower driving speed to the communication device of the getaway car 4 via the communication network 2. When the communication device of the getaway car 4 receives the command sent from the escape prevention management center 3, a speed regulator mounted in the getaway car 4 lowers the driving speed of the vehicle.
