TRUST ESTABLISHMENT METHOD AND SERVICE CONTROL SYSTEM BASED ON TRUST

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a trust establishment method which allows services to be provided conveniently for users and service providers in a network environment wherein many service providers exist and trust establishment can frequently occur.;SOLUTION: A trust management server 20 independent of service providers 30 and user terminals 10 is provided on a network 50. The trust management server 20 describes and returns trust of user terminals in accordance with trust definitions shared among a plurality of service providers. Each user terminal uses a trust description received from the trust management server to establish its own trust to each service providing server. The user terminal 10 holds a digital certificate issued by an external certificate issue part 401 and presents the digital certificate to the trust management server 20 to request trust. The trust management server 20 verifies the digital certificate presented from the user terminal and determines trust in accordance with a trust management policy and transmits a trust description digital certificate to the user terminal.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
