PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system which can quickly display data objects arranged on a database table. ;SOLUTION: A system laying stress on GUI logic containing various kinds of modules for generating data objects which can be operated by a user for deciding the positions of vertical lines on a database table generates signals based on the positions in response to the operations of the user. When the user operates one of the data objects so as to instantaneously display a vertical line, a scroll bar is positioned in accordance with the signal so as to display the vertical line quickly and conveniently. In order to provide such an ability to the user, the data object is generated on a screen by using the panel generating module of the user. In addition, the GUI logic has a user panel selection responding module for responding to the operation of the data objects by the user.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
