PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary electric machine for a high voltage vehicle which has a segments-sequentially-joined-type stator coil while suppressing the increase of the number of poles of a stator coil, the flattening of stator's cross section, and the interferrence between conductors.;SOLUTION: In the rotary electric machine for a high-voltaqe vehicle which has a segments-sequentially-joined-type stator coil, a plurality of same-phase slots adjoining each other are provided, and special segments 201 and 202 (8-slot pitch) having mutually different slots different from usual segments (9-slot pitch) 101-106 and special U-phase segments 206 and 207 (11-slot pitch) are provided as segments. Hereby, also in the segments-sequentially-joined-type stator core, a plurality of same-phase slots can be made to adjoin each other. which makes it possible to materialize the voltage elevation of the rotary electric machine by the increase of the number of turns while suppressing collateral harmful effect.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
