PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing system or the like with which printing of data to be printed can be uniformly performed after easily setting operating conditions. SOLUTION: When the transmission of a print file from a client PC to a shared holder is monitored, the presence of the print file is confirmed (step S1; YES) and if there is a corresponding setting file (step S2; YES), the contents of that setting file are read out (step S3), but when there is no corresponding setting file (step S2; NO) default setting contents are read out (step S7). Based on the setting contents, printing operation is set (step S4), printing of data to be printed is executed (step S5), and after the end of printing, the data to be printed are deleted (step S6).
