PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vessel ascent travel preventing device that can prevent a deck over-tilting backward accident by carelessness or the like of an operator with certainty, and that it is less in a fear of trouble happening from the structural point of view. ;SOLUTION: A fact that a vessel went up is detected by a vessel ascent detecting sensor 21, receiving a signal of the sensor 21 with a control circuit 25, and when the vessel is goind upward, a lock actuator is operated, locking an accelerator pedal of a dump car to a nonoperativeness, and when the vessel is returned to its descent state, the operation is stopped, releasing the lock of the accelerator pedal, and thus the accelerator pedal is allowed to be trodden.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
