PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability by detecting the position of a pointer on a screen and displaying a graphical user interface, which is adjusted to transpar ency set to a setting table, at the detected position. ;SOLUTION: After starting processing for displaying a series of GUI(graphical user interface) parts, an arithmetic controller 50 detects the position of a pointer displayed on the screen of a display device 30 and stores the position in a memory device 48. Continually, transparency of the GUI parts which has to be displayed is read from a setting table stored in the device 48 and next, the GUI parts adjusted to have set transparency is displayed near the position of the pointer read from the device 48.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
