PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method, by which the labor and time required at assembling of linear connection between a pair of test cables 9 and 9, so as to facilitate the withstand voltage test performed on a cold shrinking tube 5.;SOLUTION: On the outer peripheries of the end sections of the test cables 9 and 9, conically projecting tapered surface sections 16 and 16, which become gradually smaller in the outside diameter, as going toward the front ends are provided. At assembling of the linear connection between the test cables 9 and 9, the end sections of the cables 9 and 9 are respectively inserted into the cold shrinking tube 5 from both end openings of the tube 5.
