PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a key passing assist and an attachment/detachment method for a key using the key passing assist that facilitate attachment of a key to a double ringed key passing ring and detachment of a key from the key passing ring without damaging the key passing ring.;SOLUTION: The key passing assist 10 mainly comprises a narrowed insertion part 11 formed at one end so as to be inserted into a gap at an end 2a of a key passing ring 2, an open state holding part 12 for setting the end 2a of the key passing ring 2 where the insertion part 11 is inserted in a given open state, and a handle part 13 formed at the other end. The open state holding part 12 has a turn assist surface 14 formed by a convex (in the figured state) surface abutting the key passing ring 2, a groove portion 15 of a given shape in which the key passing ring 2 is partly passed, and a locking portion 16 locked on the key passing ring 2.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
