PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treating tank in which a raw refuse ground product can be fed so as to be easily agitated with a raw refuse water content adjusting material and which can prevent an inlet of the raw refuse ground product from being clogged. SOLUTION: This treating tank has a raw refuse water content adjusting material 13 for adjusting the water content in a raw refuse ground product and making it to compost, an agitating means 14 fitted on a rotating shaft and consisting of agitating blades 14a for agitating and mixing the raw refuse ground product and the raw refuse water content adjusting material 13, a feeding inlet 20 opened at the upper position of a recessed part C of the raw refuse water content adjusting material 13 formed by rotation of the agitating means 14 and through which the raw refuse ground product is fed into the treating tank 6, an air feeding hole for taking exchangably fresh air into the treating tank 6 and an air vent hole 18, and a controlling means for controlling motion of the agitating means 14 in such a way that after the recessed part C is formed, the raw refuse ground product is fed in this position and the raw refuse ground product and the raw refuse water content adjusting material 13 are mixed.
