PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for registering and using a favorite artist by using a portable telephone set with a browser as a song selection booking tool for a karaoke device. PSOLUTION: A user accesses a karaoke user assisting server operated on a public network by using a portable browser terminal to make a request to create a my-artist document in hypertext format including a name description of a favorite artist and stores the document in the portable browser terminal. When the user displays the my-artist document on the portable browser terminal A, specifies the artist, and performs event operation, the portable browser terminal sends a request to the karaoke user assisting server. The karaoke user assisting server interprets the request, creates a music list document in hypertext format including a music list of the artist by using a music index database, and sends it to the portable browser terminal.
