PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-chromium iron casting for large objects which may extend its longevity and prevent damages during use.;SOLUTION: The casting comprises 2.4-3.5 wt.% C, 0.5-1.5 wt.% Si, 0.5-2.5 wt.% Mn, 14-21 wt.% Cr, 2-4 wt.% Mo, 0.5-2.5 wt.% Ni and the balance being Fe and unavoidable impurities and has a hardness of 62-67 HRC and a residual stress of from -200 to 200 MPa.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
