PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the contamination of paper with undried ink by smoothly guiding the paper to a spur roller part. ;SOLUTION: A paper discharge guide 38 is provided so as to protrude toward the upstream area in a paper feed direction from the outermost periphery of a spur roller 18. The length L3 of the paper discharge guide 38 is set to the min. blank length of the leading end of paper or less and, even if the leading end of the printed paper impinges against the paper discharge guide 38, an ink bonded part does not come into contact with the paper discharge guide 38. When the paper reaches the spur roller 18 along the paper discharge guide 38, it is pressed to the spur roller 18 to generate a gap between the paper and the paper discharge guide 38 and fed without being brought into contact with the paper discharge guide 38.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
