PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a public telephone set position information use system and a position information service system which impart position information to a called person at a low charge without any special operation by a caller as to a telephone call from a calling terminal whose telephone number is open to the public or not and which enable an administrator of position information data to charge the called person. ;SOLUTION: A public telephone set 1 has a converting means 11 which converts the ID of the telephone set into a different temporary ID' each time the telephone sets originates and a service device notification means 12 which notifies a service device through a communication line network. A position information management center 3 has a reconverting means 301 which reconverts the temporary ID' into the ID of the public telephone set at a request from the service device 2 and a position information converting means 302 which converts the reconverted ID into position information. Then the service device 2 has a service providing means 21 which provides service including the provision of the position information by using the position information management center 3 and the position information obtained from the temporary ID.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
