The present invention relates to stereo isomers of C₅-hydroxyl substituents, N-substituted derivatives of hydroxybenzyl, hydroxyl, phenyl substituted γ-lactams (clausenamide) and the preparation methods thereof, and pharmaceutical compositions containing the same and their uses for the preparation of medicaments as nootropic and anti-aging drugs.
