Flagpole, includes automatically retractable flag holder part which can rotate freely around mast in windy weather

The flagpole (1) includes a return mechanism for retracting the flag holding part (12) when there is wind. The holder part is retracted in the same direction as it is unfolded and can rotate freely through 360 deg. around the mast (2). A hinge is used to secure the holder part to the mast and comprises a second hinge section (8) resting on top of a first hinge section (3) and a bolt (10) extending in the axial direction of the mast and connecting these two hinge sections. The return mechanism is formed by providing at least one of the hinge sections with a sloping surface (5, 9) acting as a support surface for the other hinge section.
