The pneumatic anal sphincter is used in surgery in case of an impaired operation of the muscle due to a trauma, in using the method of anti-natural anus (anus preter) and in case of a tumour in the rectum. It comprises an implant supporting ring (1) wherein an inflatable sector (2) is found connected by means of an output (3) to a supply hose (4) coupled to an adjustable valve (5) and pneumatic pump (6) which are fitted to a patient's belt (7).
