Systems and methods for reducing errors of alignment direction of transverse process of a printing head using a sensor of a linear arrangement.The present invention relates to systems and methods are provided for the determination of errors of alignment in the direction of the transverse process of a printer.A first straight line is obtained by the detection of the centres of line of a first plurality of traces in a test pattern.A second straight line is obtained by the detection positions of the center line of a second plurality of traces in the test pattern.A difference between the deviation of the first straight line and the deviation of the second straight line is used in the determination of errors of alignment.
