The present invention relates to a single-deck floating roof of a large-volume storage tank, particularly for crude oil products consisting of a narrow circumferential annulus (1) being formed by chambers separated from each other, and a deck circular metal sheet (2). Radially arranged semi-solid U-shaped reinforcing ribs (3) of box-type cross section are welded by their open ends to the top of said deck circular metal sheet (2). Said ribs (3) divide the circular metal sheet (2) into individual spherical sectors (4). Each spherical sector (4) is provided with an emergency overflow (5) and a rainwater closure (6) wherein in the middle section, there is disposed a rainwater collector (7). Said semi-solid U-shaped reinforcing ribs (3) enable incline of the roof toward the rainwater collector (7) and at the same time they transmit load from adjacent spherical sectors (4) to the peripheral annulus (1).
