In the present invention, there are disclosed a method for identifying microorganisms and a method for identifying genes, which allow a microorganism to adapt to a particular environment, and particularly identification of genes responsible for virulence of a pathogenic microorganism. Further disclosed are a microorganism obtained by using the above methods, a vaccine containing such microorganism and process for its preparation, a gene obtained by using the method according to the present invention, a method for obtaining a mutant microorganism, and a process for preparing a pharmaceutical composition based on the indicated mutant microorganism. There is further described a method for identifying a compound, and a process for preparing a medicament for preventing or alleviating an infection caused by such microorganism.
