PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOSITIONS CONTAINING ONE OR SEVERAL STEROIDS, ONE OR SEVERAL TETRAHYDROPHOLATE COMPONENTS AND VITAMIN B

The application describes a kit for use in a method of hormonal contraception or hormone replacement therapy in female mammals, which includes at least 10 oral unit doses containing at least 1 μg of one or more steroids selected from the range of estrogens and progestogens; at least 0.1 mg of one or more tetrahydrofolate components selected from the group consisting of (6S) -tetrahydrofolate acid, 5-methyl- (6S) -tetrahydrofolate acid, 5-formyl- (6S) -tetrahydrofolate acid, 10-formyl - (6S) -tetrahydrofolate acid, 5,10-methylene- (6R) -tetrahydrofolate acid, 5,10-methenyl- (6R) -tetrahydrofolate acid, 5-formimino (6S) -tetrahydrofolate acid, pharmaceutically acceptable salts of these tetrafolium acids and glutamyl derivatives of said tetrahydrofolic acids; and at least 0.1 mg of vitamin B. The application also describes a method of hormonal contraception and a hormone replacement therapy method, which consists in the fact that female mammals are orally administered at least once a day with one or more standard doses containing steroids, where unit doses additionally contain at least 0.1 mg of one or more of the above tetrahydrofolate components and at least 0.1 mg of vitamin B.
