The cermet material obtained from unused inert anodes, the inert anodes used and the cermet used in the production of inert anodes is enriched into a non-ferrous metal concentrate composition from which the valuable metals contained in this composition can be easily extracted using the traditional melting method. The invention also relates to the use of said composition in a smelting method for extracting valuable metals from a cermet composition based on the invention.
