VECTOR THREE-COMPONENT THREE-DIMENSIONAL MIGRATION BEFORE SUMING BY THE KIRCHHOF METHOD

The application describes a device and method for the migration of three-component three-dimensional seismic data recorded using downhole receivers and ground-based sources of seismic signals. The described method consists in using a full three-component reflected wave field. To obtain the image of the reflected position, apply a dynamic vector display of energy and display each time sample only in the corresponding point of the reflected image. Thus, the described method allows to reduce unwanted loss of clarity of the image and obtaining false specular reflections. The method allows to obtain three-dimensional images of higher quality due to the fact that it overcomes the lack of one-component or three-component three-dimensional VSP-migration, in which only one-component seismic trace or previously rotated three-component seismic tracks are used.
