The invention refers to the tobacco industry, in particular to devices for fixation of tobacco leaves, as well as to processes for tobacco leaves preparation for curing.The device for fixation of tobacco leaves is made as a box-like construction, into the base of which there are made slots, having at least one construction, the dimension of which is smaller than the thickness of the petiole, the slots being made so that the constructions are arranged at least in two rows in staggered order. The slots are made with open or closed contour, and the box-like construction is provided with guides, mounted onto the frontal walls of the construction.The process for tobacco leaves preparation for curing includes sorting of the leaves and fixation thereof with the petioles by means of the device, wherein fixation of the leaves is carried out at least in two rows in staggered order. Fixation of the leaves is carried out with limitation of the length of the petiole prominent part. At the same time placement of the device into the curing installation is carried out with the possibility of regulating the interval between the adjacent devices.The result of the invention consists in providing a uniform density of the tobacco mass, in the labour security, as well as in decreasing the labour expenditure.
