Lower threshold (1) is for a plastic window frame (7) and has an elongated body (2) of a wearproof material, such as polyolefin. On a first head side of the elongated body a connecting block (3) is fitted. Preferably, this block is of polyvinylchloride. In the block are two deepened holes (4), into which screws (13) or bolts can be inserted, and then screwed into the holes (5) in the elongated body. Possibly, plugs can be fitted in the holes to provide a rigid fixture. In order to achieve a good seal, between the connecting block and the elongated body a seal (6) of cellular rubber is fitted.
