The Roman curtain comprises a main rail (1) on which is fitted a first curtain sheet (2), a second curtain sheet (3) also fitted on the main rail, with a different light permeability to the first sheet. A first lifting device (4) is fitted on the main rail and is connected to the first curtain sheet. A second lifting device (5) is fitted on the main rail and is connected with the second curtain sheet. A closure plate (12) is fitted on an uner side of the main rail. The first and second curtain sheets each have an end fixed to the closure plate. The main rail is formed with a closure groove (11) in which the closure plate fits. It is also possible for two closure plates and two closure grooves to be provided.
