The system is for movement of a cable and beam and forms part of a building facade maintenance installation. A steel cable or lift carriage can be moved longitudinally backwards and forwards in relation to a docking station (17). It can be driven manually or by a motor on the roof of a building or in a building. The lift carriage and cable act as a suspension structure for a hang scaffolding. On the rear side of the system are two round cable drums for accommodation of the steel cables.
