The knees are rested against a horizontal support mounted on the front side of a seat so that the upper legs are free to move. The distance between the seat and support is adjustable and the diameter of the support can also be altered. Stretching the lower leg exerts a downward force on the lower legs, generating eccentric tension. The reverse movement is also possible.
