The production of inert anode in a cermet of the NiO-NiFe 2O 4-M comprises: (a) the preparation of an initial mixture containing precursors of a mixed ceramic phase and a metal phase, in the form of a metal powder, and an organic binder, in a proportion of less than 2 wt.%; (b) shaping the mixture, to form a raw anode of a determined shape; and (c) sintering the raw anode at greater than 900[deg]C in a controlled atmosphere containing at least one inert gas and oxygen. An independent claim is also included for an electrolysis cell using the above anode.
